Why: Perfect for groups, families and gatherings. The house is huge and has everything needed for entertaining, chilling and retreating just a little from town. It is only a 3-5 minute drive or taxi back into the centre of Byron and the view over the pool is lush and mesmerising!
Favourite breakfast and coffee: The Top Shop
Why: It is such a gorgeous little spot, outside of the busy tourist hustle. The people are seriously lovely, there are lots of spunky tattoos and smiles! The coffee is perfect and the breakfast selection is varied, my fave is the Breakfast Burger.
Favourite fancy dining: Italian at the Pacific
Why: Amaze interior, beyond amaze food and the best Espresso Martini! This little spot attached to the beach pub is in gorgeous surrounds and the staff are super friendly and knowledgable as well as just simply lovely. The veal pasta dish that I chose was the envy of all at our table, although there was no dish we could fault!
Favourite relaxed dining: St Elmo
Why: The lemongrass and chilli margarita! OH and the tapas too! Great little spot and it was busy on a Thursday night in Winter, always a good sign! The staff were stretched and not expecting such a busy night, all was forgiven when the pork belly arrived though! #yum
Favourite lunch: Targa
Why: Again with the veal...such simple, beautifully presented food and staff who comfortably suggest a matching wine or accommodate a Monday morning cocktail request!
Favourite serene spot: Harvest Cafe at Newrybar
Why: So many reasons...this is where I spent the final few hours of my trip, firstly over brunch and then on a beautiful brown couch with my book, Frankie mag and a selection of beverages before my flight home. It is such a lovely place, with an onsite farm and bakery, staff who made me feel warmly welcome, and a setting so pretty it was hard to leave!
